Metro is seeking a Fare Media Assistant to assist with in-house fare media production.

Effective January 1, 2016, The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority/Metro will not hire nicotine users. All candidates for hire extended an offer of employment will be required to successfully pass a nicotine screening as a condition of employment



  • Produces large volumes of fare media utilizing a Printing and Encoding Machine (PEM) and ID Workstation Printers in order to meet production deadlines.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems related to fare media, for both individual customers and business partners such as schools, agencies and employers.

  • Process online fare media orders and maintain online order database.
  • Process fare media orders for mail or delivery.
  • Maintain and update order tracking spreadsheets.
  • Maintain databases for fare media issued to individual users (agencies, schools, Universities, employers, etc.)
  • Maintain and audit inventory for fare media orders.
  • Responsible for accounts receivable for 40-50 accounts.
  • Provide assistance at the Metro retail sales office as needed.    
  • Assist in the development of strategies to meet or exceed organizational and department performance goals and objectives.
  • Model exemplary internal and external customer service.

  • Ability to work in compliance with Metro's safety and security policies.                    



  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1 - 2 Years related experience
  • Communications - Excellent verbal, writing and non-verbal skills. Clear, concise, and persuasive. Excellent grammar and punctuation.
  • Customer Focus - Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Employee Development - Accurately identifies and measures own skills and knows when to ask for help in completion of tasks and projects.
  • Leadership - Energetic, takes initiative on projects, committed to continuous improvement.
  • Professional Integrity - Accountable, honest, fiscally responsible, with the ability to maximize resources.
  • Strong knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of internet and email.
  • Knowledge of ID card and fare media production equipment

  • Excellent customer service skills.
