Metro is seeking a Customer Service Investigator, who under general supervision, will investigate customer service reports to determine validity. Documents results of investigation and communicates results to Division Manager.      

 Effective January 1, 2016, The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority/Metro will not hire nicotine users. All candidates extended an offer of employment will be required to successfully pass a nicotine screening as a condition of employment.



  • Retrieves on-board audio/video from Metro vehicles.
  • Work with outside law enforcement agencies
  • Evaluate pertinent information related to customer incidents.
  • Investigate customer service complaints taken by the customer relations department. Investigate additional customer service complaints and issues received through the Division Managers and Supervisors.
  • Provides Division Manager and Customer Service Department with results of investigation based on the knowledge of work rules, policies and procedures.
  • Provide a positive work environment that does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran.
  • Ability to work in compliance with Metro's safety and security policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.    



  • Communications - Excellent verbal, writing and non-verbal skills. Clear, concise, and persuasive; excellent grammar and communication skills.

  • Proficiency Able to multi task, excellent computer skills, accuracy and attention to detail and excellent grammar and punctuation.
  • Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) preferred.
  • Three to five years customer service related experience preferred.
  • Familiar with transit-related software packages (Trapeze, Safety Vision).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word).
  • Knowledgeable and skilled with use of electronic mail.
  • Ability to lift 10-15 lbs. and walk frequently.
  • Ability to stoop and bend.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs.
  • Working knowledge of the Metro system and all routes and a clear understanding of services provided by Metro.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license. 
  • Some travel required within the Metro service area (to retrieve video hard drives).
